THE footballing world have shared their messages for Cardiff City’s Emiliano Sala and the pilot of yet to be found aircraft that went missing over English Channel.

Guernsey Police had covered 1,150 square miles throughout Saturday and have since updated their plan to find the plan and have covered around 280 square miles of the targeted area.

Ex Welsh professional footballers and now Ellis James’ Feast of Football hosts Daniel Gabbidon and Iwan Roberts shared their feelings on the news of the Emiliano Sala and the pilot on twitter in the early hours of Tuesday morning.

Gabbidon shared his feelings to his fans on his Twitter account stating:

Daniel Gabbidon was joined in sharing his thoughts on the news by Podcast co-host Iwan Roberts who also followed up Gabbidons Tweet by answering a question asked on the previous Tweet.

Claudio Ranieri who is now Fulham manager gave some words in an interview with the BBC. Ranieri managed the Argentinian striker Sala last Season, where he was the leading scorer in the league under his management.

In the interview Ranieri said: “He’s a fantastic footballer who always gave his best when we worked together in France,”

“Emiliano is a wonderful character. Knowing him as a person, he’s a fighter.

“Like everyone else, I was devastated to hear the news this morning that Emiliano was on board the aircraft.

Ranieri ended the interview by saying “In the meantime, I along with the Nantes and Fulham families pray for Emiliano and his family.”

The Welsh TV and radio presenter Rhydian Bowen Phillips also expressed his concerns for the player and pilot on the light aircraft tweeting throughout the day on Tuesday.

He again took to his Twitter account to Tweet more about his emotions on the Day and had clearly been following the news through social media.
