The Cardiff Devils will try to carry on the success of the previous weekend as they take on rivals Sheffield Steelers.

Last time these two sides met was on Saturday 20th of October, the game ended 7-1 in favour of the Cardiff Devils, however a lot has changed then for Sheffield.

Gleason Fournier ran the show that day as he was involved in five of the seven goals of the Devils, three assists and two goals respectively.

The Sheffield Steelers are currently on a two game winning streak after picking up a four point and another win would be a massive step forward in making it to the play offs.

The Devils on the other hand will look to push even further away from second place Belfast Giants of which they are already nine points clear of.

Both teams come of the back of a four pint weekend but ones record will have to be spoiled.

The Cardiff Devils have not lost since Boxing Day when they lost away to Coventry Blaze 4-3.

The Steelers have won four of their last five at the FlyDSA Arena. – https://eliteleague.co.uk/2019/01/23/league-points-and-cup-advantage-on-the-line-on-wednesday-night/

Key Players

Cardiff Devils: Matthew Myers played superbly well in the matches against Belfast and was a true workhouse across the two games. Myers is also approaching his 900th game with this being his 899th.

Sheffield Steelers: top scorer and top points for the steelers is Josh Pitt and he will need to be on fine form if there is any chance of them getting a result against the Devils.
