A first period blitz from the Devils was enough to ensure they not only achieved revenge on blaze but too the league table.

The Devils opened the scoring just a minute in through Drew Schiestel who was assisted by Stephen Dixon and Mark Richardson.

Again Schiestel would be the scorer for the second, this time it being a short handed goal with Sean Bentivoglio and Joey Martin grabbing the assists.

Coventry Blaze tried to get back into the game when star player Ben Lake grabbed a goal with the EA (extra attacker) to help him. Tim Crowder and David Clements got the assists.

Layne Ulmer would stop any foe of a comeback grabbing the third goal for the Devils on the power play. Joey Martin and Gleason Fournier were the two players grabbing the assists this time.

Charles Linglet would get himself on the score sheet just thirty seconds later. Mike Hedden and Stephen Dixon got the assists.

Mike Hedden would find himself getting the goal next on his birthday. Charles Linglet returned the favour with an assist of his own along with Gleason Fournier getting another.

First Period: Cardiff Devils 5-1 Coventry Blaze

Although the first Period got off to a quick start and ended with the Devils scoring three in less than a minute. The second half, just like last night, would not feature a goal. The score line would stay the same.

Second Period: Cardiff Devils 5-1 Coventry Blaze

It would take some time but the Blaze would claw another goal back. Alex Forbes would score with just under four minutes left. Assisted by Tim Crowder and Ben Lake.

However, there would be even less of chance of a comeback as Joey Haddad scored an unassisted goal late in the game.
