THE Cardiff Devils made it back to back wins over the Guildford Flames in a tight victory.

Mike Hedden opened the scoring for the Devils as he was left wide open in front of goals. He was assisted by Charles Linglet and Gleason Fournier.

It would be a dominating first performance from the Devils managing 18 shots against Guildfords 6.

First Period: Cardiff Devils 1-0 Guildford Flames

Charles Linglet would score a good unassisted goal after winning the puck back.

Guildford would make the most of a power play as Jamie Crooks fires one in for Guildford. Brett Ferguson and Ben Davies would get the assists.

Kruise Reddick got the game back level as John Dunbar and Evan Janssen set him up.

Second Period: Cardiff Devils 2-2 Guildford Flames

Midway through the final period, Drew Schiestel would score with seconds left on a power play to take back the lead for the Devils. Assists from Mark Richardson and Charles Linglet.

Guildford will not be happy with the selfish act of Ben Davies. With just under a minute to go he was given a two minute penalty for abuse of an official and cost them the chance of going on the attack.

Third Period: Cardiff Devils 3-2 Guildford Flames

The Devils played well and ultimately deserved the win although there is a clear pattern that the second period is a problem.

Man of the Match

Charles Linglet, a goal and two assists meant he was involved in all three goals. He was a nightmare for the Guildford players who could not win the puck off him.
